ipad!

so, hubby went out and bought an ipad2 today. we never had one before, or any other igadget except for an ipod. it's pretty cool fo sho, but i was kind of trying to avoid owning one because i didn't need another device to be addicted to. it'll definitely come in handy sitting in the car while my 2 year old sleeps, so i'm looking forward to that.
for accessories, i just got a basic cover in tan. and then for a sleeve, i got the kate spade one $50:

saving money, kind of!

so, it turned out that bloomingdales was having their friends and family sale which means pretty much everything is 20% off. i ended up ordering the same items online with free shipping and then returned the stuff to saks. the savings was significant enough to go through the trouble. also, i ended up returning those ag jeans i bought a while ago from anthropologie because i never got around to wearing them and also because although they are a flattering high waisted style, they basically pushed up my flat tire and created a really high unattractive muffin top.

while i was saks, i tried on this marc by marc jacobs top. i really loved the top and was about to buy it until i saw the price tag. a whopping $278. for a shirt. no thanks. luckily, i did find it on shopbop.com for 30% off and got it there... i wouldn't wear it with the neck all tied up like that, but the sleeves are really adorable.

falling behind on my posts...
today i went to saks and picked up a few things for fall:
jbrand lowrise denim leggings $150 and rag and bone striped sweater $195

alice and olivia sweater $198. This picture doesn't do the sweater justice.
what you can't see is the cool hem. it comes down to points on the sides and it's
real swingy without being too blousy. i also think they way they arranged the cowl neck in the picture looks terrible. it doesn't look like that at all in real life. anyway, it's going to be one of those pieces i wear all winter....
